General Surgery Procedures


The Following are General Surgery Procedures and commonly Performed: 

Airway Procedures:  Correction of an elongated soft palate, removal of everted laryngeal scales, tonsillectomy; Larynegeal arytenoid lateralization (back-back); expansion the larynx and glottic opening; Correction of everted laryngeal saccules; total laryngectomy; tracheal mass removal; temporary and long term tracheotomy. 

​Thoracic Procedures: Pericardotomy, and removal of atrial based masses; partial pericardectomy and resection of atrial  tumor resection; PDA ligation, PRAA correction and thoracic esophageal foreign body removal; removal of lung lobes containing tumors, abscess, severe injury and consolidation;  resection and rebuilding of the thoracic wall involving severe injury or large tumor mass.    

Head, Neck (Endocrine) Procedures:  Mandibulectomy; partial maxillectomy; parathyroid and thyroid resections using magnification,headlight and diode surgical laser; salivary glad resections and mucoceole drainage; ymph node resections for biopsy; esophagostomy and tube placement.

Ear, Eye Procedures:  Lateral ear canal resection (Zepp). bulla osteotomy and total ear canal ablation; ear removal for neoplasia; limited ear polyp removal; eye lid tumor removal and reconstruction especially when >30% of lid is involved.

Anal, Perianal Rectal Procedures: Perineal hernia repair; (uni and bilateral); rectal, anal, and perianal mass resection with use of magnification, headlight, and diode laser. anal sac resection; rectal pull-through and reaction of masses within the rectum; 

Intra-abdominal Procedures:  Diaphragmatic and   hernia repair; liver lobe mass resection;  ;  :  ; gastric mass and ulcer removal and reconstruction; various small and large intestinal surgeries; adrenalectomy; partial and complete nephrectomy; large abdominal mass resections; pancreatic biopsy, partial removal for neoplasia, necrosis or abscess;  

Urogenital Procedures:  Nephrostomy: Ureteral trasposition; Cystotomy;  partial bladder resection; complete bladder removal due to neoplasia and reconstruction utilization with a section of small intestine;  ovariohisterectomy; orchidectomy including retained testicle; prostatic  abscess drainage and partial prostatectomy; pancreatic drainage and omentum transposition; Perineal and Pubic Urethrostomy; Prepucial 

Skin, Fascia, Tendon, and Muscle Procedures:  Acute and chronic wound assessment and surgical treatment; Skin and muscle transpositions; complex wound closures; tendon and ligament repair, tendon elongation or shortening; tumor resections; pectineus  resection for chronic hip dysplasia  and pain; 
subscapular tendon and fascia release; amputations; amputation revisions. ​
